Scavenger Hunt Sunday - Luck of the Irish, Okie Style

It's that time of the week again for Ashley Sisk's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. There is a Saint Patrick's Day theme to it this week.

1.Lucky

Horseshoes are lucky right! Oklahoma has no shortage of horseshoes.

2.Irish

Mom

That's my late mother napping while on a bus tour of Ireland. You talk about Irish, that was her. If you were smart you didn't say anything bad about anybody in her family, Ireland, Idaho, Notre Dame University Football, Saint Joseph Montana, or the Democratic Party.

3.Daylight

4.Pot of Gold

PuebloWaterCarrier.jpg

Hey, I don't have a picture of a Pot of Gold. I have a photo of this: "Pueblo Water Carrier" by Eanger Irving Couse. It's priceless and has a few pots. You can go see it yourself for about eight bucks, six days a week at the Philbrook Museum of Art here in Tulsa. They got lots of other stuff, so its not like you get to look at just this one painting. Tell'em Yogi sent you. Hopefully they won't kick you out when you say that.

5.Clover

SheepTrio

Clover, I don't have any stinking clover. These guys ate it all. They don't look a bit sorry do they. They just want more. For a bunch of sheep they sure are pigs.

Have a great Saint Patrick's Day

I love your creativity, Yogi! Sounds like your mom was a character. I live in horse country so there are tons of horseshoes somewhere. I should look harder - I could use some luck. :))

My post for the scavenger hunt won't go up till later...but it's ready.

You have a wonderfully imaginative take on this scavenger hunt. I totally believe that the sheep have eaten all the clover and find your pot of gold brilliant. It appears to me that almost EVERY American has Irish ancestry:-)

I like your creativity with the prompts for the photos. The picture of your mom is a treasure.

Really cute way to include the traditional pigs without having to go find pigs! Your mom looks like a sweetie.

I just wasn't feeling that creative this week. I opted to plug the Norman Rockwell exhibit at Crystal Bridges. Hope you and the family make it over for a tour. I like your take on Irish and Clover though. Nice work.

Your scavenger hunts are always fun. Your mom sounds like she was a pip! The clover eaters show no remorse, that's for sure.

Hey, I went to the auto show at Expo Square today. Many photos to follow. You should get out there before it is over. Lots of wonderful autos both old and new.

I love your Oklahoma take on this weeks prompts. My dad used to bring so many horse shoes home from his work, they're only lucky the right up though aren't they! x

Funny sheep...I love the shot of your mum.

Really got a chuckle from your clover shot! The lucky shot reminds me of my dad who always had a horsehoe over the door as a sign of good luck.

My fave is that shot of your mom. I have a neighbor with the same attitude-and a ND football helmet mailbox. Jus' sayin'.
I didn't have no stinkin' clover either, but I like your take.

What an enjoyable post.
I loved reading about your mom and how lucky she had the chance to tour Ireland (that's on my bucket list).
The Sheep (or is that "pigs") for the Clover shot was funny.
Wonderful painting in the Pot of Gold shot.
Also liked the Horseshoe shot for Lucky (I was going to try and find one but went with something different instead.)

Neat sheep picture, Yogi. Our cattle thing they are starving ... always.

Thank You for stopping in at The Ranch Wife Chronicles and leaving me a comment.

I love the sheep pic. And your mom reminds me of my mother in law, who was 100% fanatically Irish, even though her closest relative from Ireland was 3 generations back.
A pot of water in a Pueblo village may well have been more valuable than gold. I really like the painting.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! The sheep always make me laugh. Hope you found your own pot of gold for the day.
