Watery Wednesday II - Standup Paddlers at Seattle's Ballard Locks
We saw a lot of great stuff on our family vacation to Seattle last summer. We were at the Ballard Locks checking things out when a group of Standup Paddleboarders came cruising by. They made it looked very easy.
I would fall right off of one of those boards. Balance is not one of my strong points especially if I start thinking about it too much. Looks like fun though.
Pretty sure you mean the Ballard Locks, except they are actually named the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. But they are located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Love the fish ladder. Glad you had such nice weather for your visit.

I know that I would not be the one to make this look easy. It looks like fun, but I don't think my equilibrium is up to the challenge.

That is too cool! I would probably end up in the water if I tried that.
I've seen people stand up on those things and they have great balance!
I sure do admire the folks who can do this. The water doesn't always sit still for these guys.
