Graffiti Wednesday - Yarn Bombing Cain's Ballroom

Somebody vandalized Tulsa's Cain's Ballroom lately, with yarn.

Cain's Ballroom

See it? Here it is.

Cain's was Yarn Bombed by the notorious Yarn Bomb Tulsa Gang.

Isn't it awful?

Yarn Bomb

Yarn Bombing is considered a form of Graffiti. I don't find it offensive at all. I am not sure it will weather well though.

Have you ever seen a Yarn Bomb? This one at Cain's is my first.

Yes, I've seen it locally for the first time a few years back. I do wonder how long the outfit lasts being left out in the elements.

That looks like an awfully lot of work just to wrap a light pole. Certainly, it is much less offensive than traditionally graffiti and something I have never seen before.

I wonder if some of the ladies where I live could be the culprits of this knitting craze? I live in a retirement complex so they're very likely to be the guilty parties.

I've heard of this, but never come across one. Interesting photos.

I've never heard of yarn bombing, but I think it's really cool. Maybe Jillian and I can give it a try after we take our knitting class.

Looks like a fun way to add colour to a winter cityscape.

They thought the post was cold and gave it an afghan. How thoughtful?

Yarn bombing is new to me. I am going to follow your link. The granny square made me smile. Nothing like cozying up to a place!
