Occupy Tulsa Returns

Occupy Tulsa returned after an extended break. No camping this time, they gathered at the Federal Courthouse in Tulsa. They brought a drum this time. But they were all by themselves.

Except that Tulsa's welcome wagon was there. No gift baskets though.

Everybody seemed to be having a great time during a chilly noontime.

So, what do you think about the Occupy movement? Has it got legs or is winding down?

The powers that be are trying desperately to remove the Occupy movement from St Paul's where they have been since November. Funnily enough not many seem to be in their tents at night - they go home to their comfortable, warm beds!! So much is happening in the UK this year with the Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations - it is hoped the occupiers will go on their merry way before too long.

I understand that they think they have something to say, but to chastise those of us who make a living and own a home and pay our bills is just wrong. I think by now they need to be a part of the solution not a part of the problem.

It seems to be dying down in our area or at least the media is not covering it as much as in the early days.

Love the last photo, God did not create a lot of things, perhaps if we all realise that peace and cooperation is a better way to be then all the demonstrations, strikes, greed, and wars will become a thing of the past.
Well, at least that is what I hope for :)

Some people are just losers. I rank them up there with the beggers outside of hellmart.

I'm cold-hearted huh?

I respect their right to gather and protest, but I guess I never really understood what they are actually protesting or what change they want to happen. Or if they are doing anything to make it happen?

Love the signage. And the 'welcome wagon'.

I'm not sure about the occupy stand throughout the country. I so dislike the 'corruption' that our government has but I really can't say if the protesting is helping or if it's all just a media 'turn on'.

It's hard to say.

Sorry I've not been here to visit any sooner, been busy redoing our kitchen floor tiles and now I've not been feeling chipper ---cold or flu has set in.

Have a great weekend.

Tea party demonstrates with guns and that's okay. Occupy meets peacefully and the police show up fully loaded. From reading the comments not many really understand what the protest is about. The sign says alot.
