Sunday Run to Nana's House

Sunday Sweetie and SuperPizzaBoy decided to go swimming at Nana's house. She has a very nice pool and was out of town so somebody needed to check on the pool and her dogs. I decided to go swimming also. I needed to burn off some calories though. I made breakfast you see. Pancakes.



Pioneer Woman, move your butt over. These are my ridiculous blueberry pancakes. This is what I do with them.



This my ridiculous blueberry pancake, fried egg (2), and bacon (4) sandwich. Just add salsa, habanero garlic hot sauce, and maple syrup.

Anyway I don't get out and work cattle like Rhee does so I have to find other ways to burn off the calories so I decided to run to Nana's house. It's not too far but the temps were close to 90 so I geared up. Warning, this is not a pretty sight.



Don't blame me, I warned you. I took my Camelback canteen backpack that my sister Ellen gave me a while back. There are no water stops on the route I took. So laugh at me if you will. But I was hydrated. And of course I had my ipod. A trip like this requires some heavy duty tunes, Metallica, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon, and Karen and Richard Carpenter.

SPB and I have a cache in those trees. Most of the snakes I've seen in the city limits of Tulsa have been in that grass field on the way to the trees. None were poisonous, at least the ones I saw.

I see Angels, no, they aren't coming for me, its not my time yet. It just means that I'm at Nana's house.



Running attire makes great swimming attire. Then it was time for a malted adult rehydration beverage.

A New Teenager

Who is this sharp dressed man? He had a birthday recently.



One of the world's newest teenager that's who. Sweetie and are not sure that we are ready for that. Too bad, time marches on. SuperPizzaBoy has had quite the year.



He discovered that he loves singing, not so much the dancing, and improv.



He got his Legoland driver's license. (Three more years until he gets his real driver's license, tell me that it cannot be!)



He fell in love with the Pacific Ocean.



He has had lots of talks with his Mom.



He has tried some new things he really didn't care for.



And other new things that he loves.



Whatever he tries, he swings for the fences.



He has always got time for one more photo, even when he is busy.



He's learned to not run quite so fast from the girls.



He is starting to appreciate art a little more.



He still loves his Mom.



He got to know his Uncle Bob a little better this year.



He had a great year in his spiritual life learning about his faith. He had a great year at school also. In middle school the academics stepped up quite a bit and he responded. The dynamics of tweenager social drama were not so much fun. But he is getting through it.



He is still a fun loving, active, social, curious, interesting kid.



Who falls asleep exhausted every night.

The Wedding of Jillian and Brian

As previously reported the Yogi's made a road trip to Colorado last week to see these two get married.



Meet Brian and Jillian at the rehearsal dinner hosted by Brians's parents. Brian is a very nice guy. Jillian is our youngest niece. She is very special as she is one of my three most favorite nieces. Here is Mary, Jillian's next older niece, she is also one of my three favorite nieces. While we are at it lets meet the family! You got time right?



Here is Mary's son Mr. Beans. He is a very sweet and well loved boy. He and SuperPizzaBoy are good friends.



Here is the eldest daughter and another one of my three favorite nieces, Dana, with her friend Adam who accompanied her from Australia where Dana works.

Let's meet the girl's parents, what do you say?



My Sister, Ellen, her husband (and world's best brother-in-law) Irv, and the world's cutest flower girl (more later). Check out Ellen's blog. What can I say? We are a blogging family.

We got through the rehearsal dinner unscathed. It was at a nice restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs. I managed to sneak out and score a geocache. Mark one up for Yogi is what I say! I did it for you Jillian!!

So anyways we gathered at the outdoor wedding spot the next day. It had been clouding up and raining every day but Providence provided a beautiful clear day! Ellen and Jillian had planned everything perfectly and rain was not part of the plan. No way!



The Yogi's were there. You can tell it was a little breezy. Can you believe how I tied my tie. It's like I'm some sort of Okie or something. I hate them when they are that short. SPB's looks sharp though. I was so worried about his, that I didn't even notice mine.



The groom showed up, that is pretty much required. Now a couple of his buddies, lets just say they showed in time.. I have a feeling Brian will always be there for Jillian.

I can get nothing past that Dana. I love her smile.



Small World, the Official Photographer, Miss C, lives in Oklahoma City, her day job is as fellow Chemical Engineer!! and she works for another natural gas company (CrustyGasGal maybe?). So you know she is brilliant, attractive, hard working, and a great photographer. Right? Watchit - I'm looking at you!
