I My Son, SuperPizzaBoy and I were attending a function at a local elementary school a couple weeks ago during a beautiful Oklahoma Autumn day under a blue sky when we discovered this tree. I told him that it was a Whomping Tree, kind of like the Whomping Willow in the Harry Potter books.
SPB doesn't believe a word I say any more, hasn't in years. He just walks up to the tree and laughs at me.

i was such a realist with my 12-year-old. now, i tell my 2 and 4 year old i was a superstar in a past life and i have walked on the moon. it's great to see their eyes grow big!
That makes me smile, the fact that SPB doesn't believe a word you say anymore but still laughs, because that shows a great relationship and also this is a great photograph.
