Dave showed up at work today with another find he scored in Kansas, Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark Lager. Made in Wisconsin. He said that you cannot get it here in Oklahoma. I believe it, it doesn't have the goofy Oklahoma symbol on it. Check out their web site.
Now, generally I'm not much of a lager guy. I don't know why, I just haven't cared for them. The taste always seems a little "thin" to me as opposed to full bodied.
This Leinenkugel's lager is different. It has lots of body and a nice creamy, slightly flavor to it. I love it. I drank both bottles. Beer is not properly evaluated on just one bottle. It takes two. Manlaw, check it out.
Dave, thanks for the beers.!
I rate them 3.5 stars out of 4. Which is great.

You're so funny: PRK!!!
I don't really like beer, but if you're going for the unusual, check out Wasatch Brewery's (based in Park City, UT) Polygamy Porter(ad slogan: you can't have just one). The name caused quite a stir in 80% Mormon Utah when if first came out but the beer was popular with the jack-Mormons and other rebels. (we're not LDS.)
caveat: I've never tasted this beer, and all UT beer is limited to 3% alcohol - talk about strange liquor laws, UT is really bizarre.
@Jen Jilks - That's my running joke. I call it PRK because they of their regulatory stance. I think it is an awesome state though.
@Janie - I have had the Polygamy Porter a few times at the airport as I've had layovers during my travels. It is pretty good!
I like the PRK. My Friend Randy is from Newton, KS. I will tell him it is our name for Kansas.
I will remember that if I am ever in Kansas. I have not seen that label around here.
Being from Wisconsin, I'm quite familiar with the Leinie brand - good stuff! Another local brew I really like is New Glarus Spotted Cow (a fitting name for a Wisconsin beer!). Enjoy!!
@David - I'm not dissin Kanas. I'm a Kansas fan. PRK is my pet name.
@Sandy Carlson - I bet you can buy the beer in Connecticut.
@Lance - Thanks for stopping by. I will drink any beer named New Glarus Spotted Cow.
