Sky Watch Friday - Idaho Rain Showers
I love Oklahoma but one of the things I miss about the west is being able to see the weather miles away. From our lodge we could see the rain way out to the east.
To the south it looked like a bomb had gone off. It must have been a heck of a rain. Click on the photograph to get the full effect.

Those are great skies. We drove 47 from Aston to Island Park last year. It is a beautiful area.

I think the think I love about living in the southwest the most (besides low humidity) is the sky. That last picture is incredible. Can't imagine the buckets that must have been pouring under it! Great captures!
I read your "Up!" post, too. It made me laugh. We saw it last weekend, too. It was what my husband wanted to do for Father's Day with our girls. My Facebook update after that was something to the effect of why did no one on Facebook who had seen it (there were lots) warn me of the impending make-up damage? It was a cute movie, but I was a wreck when I left (beginning now long after I got there). Maybe I should learn to sleep through Pixar, too!

Both are great shots. I would think its neat to watch the storm roll in from that far away.

Wonderful photos, I love to watch the storm approaching, it possible here because the land is so flat, not even a small hill.
I LOVED that movie, the forest and waterfall are here in my country aparently the film makers came and liked the forest, the faterfall is "el Salto Angel" you can also see the "Tepuy or tepui" which is table-like mountain, I live near that paradise :)
