A couple weeks ago I went out for an afternoon run. I have passed this tree countless times but that day I stopped and took a picture of it. I like trees in winter, you can see the shape better.
If you look closely you can see signs of ice damage that so many of Tulsa's trees had last year.

My husband and I said the same things to each other about the winter trees the other day on a drive. They're lovely, aren't they?
I prefer trees in winter. I think their "personalities" are more evident.

I'm amazed at how well the trees have bounced back from that horrible ice storm. In another year or two we probably won't even notice.
But, it was sad seeing them after that storm. It was pure devestation.

I agree that trees have a special beauty in winter, maybe because they make us think of possibilities. I like the gray sky behind with a hint of highlights.
